As we get ready to begin a new year there is excitement in the air. It seems in some ways that we just left our schools for holidays and in others like we have been gone for far too long. I am looking forward to meeting most of you for the first time in the next month or so. I have been in school one way or another for forty two years now. I have taught at all grade levels but spent the majority of my time at the elementary level. Each year brings new challenges and lots of joy.
My wife and I are the parents of three beautiful children and this is my twenty fourth year as an educator. I have worked, lived or both in Winnipeg, Brandon, Saskatoon, Vancouver, Toronto, South Indian Lake, Grand Rapids, Waterhen, Skownan, Gypsumville, Rapid City and now Rivers.
